  Reasoning Book -- Online Version

  anyone know if i can get an online electronic version of the reasoning book?

  i really need to get ahold of it to be able to show my daughter what jws believe.

  sometimes when i explain to her a jw belief she is dumfounded and does not grasp that they actually believe what i am telling her.

  Winter Olympics

  have you been watching the winter olympics?.

  the ratings are very low this year, however i am watching most of the events, especially the skiing and the speed skating.. it's unfortunate that chad hedricks and shani davis, seem to be at odds over shani's decision not to race in the team event, in favor of saving himself to compete for an individual medal.. hedricks seem bitter, but davis has handled the situation with class.. also the opening ceremonies were fantastic.

  italy put on a great show.. what's your take on the winter olympics..

  " the aim of this publication was to discredit the christian doctrine of the triune nature of god.

  the method that the society used to accomplish this goal was to quote from a plethora of resources, both secular and religious, such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, books and historical literature written by individual authors.

  The point I was making in my previous post is found in what skyman wrote. I just don't understand why the WTS would focus on such strange reasonings, when logical ones abound.

  I really think the amazing this about this brochure is that it uses twisted, strange and inaccurate reasonings to put forths their ideas. Why do I find this strange?
  Let me first say that I'm not out to say who is right and who is wrong on this issue. All I mean to say is that there are many other logical ways for the Society to make their point about the Trinity, but they just don't do it. Instead the brochure seems like somebody was forced to write it in under 3 hours or they wouldn't get dinner that night. I find the whole thing strange.

  i am 23 years old, i was born and raised in the truth, then about 2 1/2 ears ago i got discfellowshiped.

  i didn't know anything else besides the truth.

  Am I only encouraging JWs?

  when i go to this one store, i usually stop into the laundromat next door to it about once a week and pull out all of the awakes and watchtowers.

  there used to usually be about 3 or 4 per week.

  now, it seems that they are putting more and more in there.

  I say keep it up. They leave all those mags because they want to get their numbers up, not because they care or anything. Very few people have ever converted from simply reading the mags. Most of them convert because of strong pressure from JW's themselves. I woulnd't worry that your encouraging them to spread the word and gain converts.

  i remember a friend telling me about this song around 8 years ago.

  it was right when i first got involved in the jw's.

  it's a pretty strange song, one that was obviously written by someone that didn't know much about jehovah's witnesses.

  Sure the worlds going to end, just like everything else. Better start going out in service so we can be "sealed". As for me, I'm going to keep on living. I don't think I have enough power to change the future of the cosmos.
